The FEMOZ team prepared an evidence report on the empirical analysis of the Mozambican Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) policy interventions based on the “Healthy Food Environment Policy Index – Food EPI*
Eleven selected domains of policy interventions were analysed based on public documents, such as strategies and action plans. Research findings and evaluations carried out in the area were also considered.
The draft report was discussed and verified with experts from the public sector, civil society, and academia in three workshops in Maputo (September 2023 and February 2024) and Nampula (September 2023) in Mozambique. The report concludes with the presentation of policy recommendations that in a following step of the Food EPI methodology are to be prioritized with government and civil society representatives.
